Our client a known name in the consumer goods industry. As part of their strategic growth agenda, they are seeking a transformative leader to define and execute commercial strategies that optimize sales, distribution, and profitability across diverse markets.
Your Role You will drive the development and execution of end-to-end sales and go-to-market strategies. primary focus will be building a scalable, efficient, and future-ready sales organization while optimizing route-to-market models to maximize distribution, reduce costs, and ensure profitable growth. You will play a key role in shaping the organization’s commercial landscape by leveraging market insights, advanced tools, and best practices to deliver tangible business results.
Key Responsibilities:
Commercial Strategy Development
- Define a comprehensive sales and distribution strategy that aligns with the company’s growth objectives.
- Lead market diagnostics to identify opportunities for revenue growth and profitability improvement.
Route-to-Market Optimization
- Design and implement efficient route-to-market models, balancing direct, distributor, and hybrid approaches.
- Develop a channel-specific Cost-to-Serve and Profit-to-Serve methodology to enhance operational efficiency and drive productivity.
Sales Transformation
- Spearhead large-scale sales transformation initiatives, including pre-sell optimization, digital routing, IT sales automation, and dynamic dispatching.
- Lead the development and execution of channel development, revenue management, and sales process optimization projects.
Channel and Customer Strategy
- Develop advanced retailer and shopper segmentation frameworks to tailor portfolios by outlet type and increase growth.
Capability Building and Organizational Development
- Build and lead a high-performing sales organization with clear roles, responsibilities, and training programs.
Stakeholder Collaboration and Governance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including supply chain, marketing, and IT, to ensure seamless execution of commercial strategies.
- Establish strong partnerships with distributors and key customers to align goals and drive shared success.
Must Have
- 18+ years of experience in commercial strategy, sales leadership, and route-to-market roles within consumer goods/FMCG sectors.
- A visionary leader with a hands-on approach, strategic thinking capabilities, and a focus on delivering measurable outcomes.
