Our Client:
A leading company in the Consumer Goods industry is looking for an experienced Tax Leader to join their team in Dubai.

Your Role:
As the Tax Leader, you will be responsible for supervising tax compliance across multiple tax categories and optimizing group tax costs through strategic tax planning. You will play a key role in developing tax strategies, addressing significant accounting and tax issues, and facilitating business restructuring for seamless operations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Oversee tax compliance for both direct and indirect taxes, ensuring full adherence to regulations.
  • Develop and implement tax strategies that align with business goals, focusing on cost optimization and risk management.
  • Conduct commercial evaluations for alternative sourcing strategies and negotiate insurance policies.
  • Continuously update and enhance the company’s risk management framework, ensuring compliance with internal and external audits.
  • Collaborate with internal departments such as the CEO, Business Heads, and Finance Heads to align tax strategies with business objectives.
  • Automate tax processes using advanced technologies to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Advise on potential tax risks and provide solutions for mitigating these risks.
  • Maintain relationships with external entities, including audit firms, legal advisors, and insurance brokers.

Must-Have Skills and Experience:

  • B.Com and Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification.
  • 16-18 years of experience in tax compliance, tax planning, and accounting, with at least 10 years in the UAE/Gulf.
  • Strong expertise in direct and indirect tax, with at least 4 years of corporate tax and transfer pricing experience.
  • Proven ability to handle tax compliance, address accounting issues, and develop robust tax strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in working with cross-functional teams and external entities.
