Job Description

As the Head of Brand Marketing, you will lead the development and execution of comprehensive marketing strategies that position the brand effectively in the market. You will oversee the creation and implementation of marketing activation programs, ensuring they align with business objectives and drive consumer engagement. This senior leadership role requires a balance of strategic thinking and hands-on execution, with a focus on brand development, campaign management, and cross-functional collaboration. You will also manage the marketing and communication team, while closely monitoring performance metrics and overseeing budget management.

Key Responsibilities:

Marketing Strategy Development:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies aimed at strengthening the brand, driving business growth, and increasing market share.
  • Ensure all brand marketing efforts are informed by market research and consumer insights, positioning the brand effectively across all touchpoints.

Brand Management & Positioning:

  • Lead the development and management of brand positioning to ensure consistency across various platforms and channels.
  • Oversee brand guidelines and ensure they are reflected in all marketing materials and campaigns.

Campaign Management & Execution:

  • Plan, manage, and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns (digital, print, PR, etc.) to enhance brand visibility and consumer engagement.
  • Ensure marketing activation programs are executed effectively and aligned with the broader brand strategy.

Content Creation & Communication:

  • Oversee the creation of engaging marketing content, ensuring that it aligns with the brand’s voice and values.
  • Collaborate with creative teams and external agencies to deliver high-quality, impactful marketing assets.

Market Research & Consumer Insights:

  • Conduct ongoing market research to inform brand and marketing strategies, ensuring the brand remains competitive and relevant in the market.
  • Utilize consumer insights to refine marketing campaigns and brand positioning to meet the changing needs of the market.

Public Relations & Reputation Management:

  • Manage public relations activities to enhance and protect the brand’s reputation.
  • Serve as a key brand ambassador, representing the brand in media interactions and public-facing events when necessary.

Budget Management:

  • Plan, manage, and optimize the marketing budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources to meet business objectives.
  • Monitor return on investment (ROI) for marketing activities and make adjustments to ensure budget efficiency.

Performance Metrics & KPIs:

  • Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and overall brand health.
  • Regularly report on marketing performance, providing actionable insights and recommendations for future strategies.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with other departments, such as Sales, Product Development, and Trade Marketing, to ensure marketing alignment with business goals.
  • Work closely with external partners, including distributors and retailers, to ensure optimal brand representation in the marketplace.

Team Leadership & Development:

  • Lead, develop, and mentor the marketing and communications team to ensure the successful execution of brand strategies and campaigns.
  • Foster a collaborative, innovative, and results-driven culture within the team.

Key Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field. MBA preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10+ years in brand marketing/shopper, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role, in the consumer goods or FMCG sector.
  • Skills:
  • Proven experience in developing and executing successful marketing strategies that drive brand growth.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities with a focus on talent development.
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to translate consumer insights into effective marketing campaigns.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Financial acumen with experience in managing and optimizing budgets.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and collaboratively across departments.
  • Fluency in English and Arabic
