Our Client: A renowned holding organization in the Kingdom.
Role Overview: This role combines the responsibilities of a Chief Financial Officer and an Investment Officer. You will oversee the financial health of subsidiaries and the investment function of the family office/holding. This position requires a strategic thinker who can manage financial planning, investment oversight, compliance with Zakat and tax regulations, and the integration of advanced investment strategies to support subsidiary operations. The CFIO will ensure long-term financial sustainability, risk mitigation, and optimal investment performance across a diverse portfolio of operating companies and investment holdings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Strategy & Planning: Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the Family Office’s goals. Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes. Provide financial insights to support strategic decisions.
- Zakat, Tax & Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with ZATCA requirements. Supervise Zakat calculation, filing, and payment for the Family Office and subsidiaries. Oversee VAT, corporate income tax, withholding tax, and related regulatory filings.
- Investment & Portfolio Oversight: Monitor the performance of investments, including real estate assets, equity holdings, and joint ventures. Support due diligence, valuation, and execution of new investment opportunities. Maintain regular investment reporting and analysis for the Family Office leadership.
- Subsidiary Financial Oversight: Provide financial oversight and advisory to operating companies. Review and challenge project budgets, cost controls, and cash flow forecasts. Support capital structure and financing arrangements for subsidiary projects.
- Treasury & Cash Flow Management: Manage liquidity planning across entities, including investment deployment and operational funding needs. Optimize banking relationships, credit facilities, and fund transfers.
- Financial Operations & Reporting: Oversee the accounting function and ensure accurate, timely consolidated financial statements. Maintain governance and internal control.
- Board & Committee Representation: Represent the family in boards, audit and investment committees, or other relevant committees of key portfolio companies. Prepare and present financial reports and strategic recommendations in governance forums. Safeguard the family’s financial interests and ensure alignment with broader family office objectives.
- Risk Management & Governance: Identify and mitigate financial, investment, and operational risks. Lead governance initiatives, including financial policies, controls, and procedures.
- Investment Strategy & Management: Develop and implement investment strategies that support the Family Office’s objectives. Oversee the integration of advanced investment systems to enhance portfolio performance. Ensure the effective management of investment portfolios, including asset allocation and risk management.
- Data Analytics & Business Intelligence: Utilize data analytics to provide insights for strategic decision-making. Implement business intelligence tools to improve financial reporting and investment analysis. Ensure the availability of accurate and timely data for all stakeholders.
Your Profile:
- Masters in Finance + CPA, SOCPA, CMA, CFA, or relevant investment certifications.
- 20+ years of quality experience in a private equity/holding or family office.
- A minimum of 5 years in a leadership role with deep understanding of the Zakat/VAT and Saudi market.
- Fluency in English and Arabic would be highly preferred.
